Forestry
& Container Seedlings
Twenty
years ago 99 per cent of the 100 million trees planted on
the Crown Lands of Ontario were "Bareroot seedlings".
Today, nearly 99.9% of the seedlings planted in Ontario are
"containerized seedlings". With the advent of better
technology containerized seedlings are better suited to the
demands of the forest industry in regenerating their harvested
areas. ForestCare's containerized seedlings have a better
survival rate, are easier to plant, have immediate growth
response benefits and are cheaper to produce and plant than
Bareroot seedlings. Our mission at ForestCare is to produce
seedlings with as many physiological characteristics of a
Bareroot seedling but with all the advantages of a container
seedling. Containerized seedlings are now being planted by
farmers, woodlot owners and cottagers for the same reasons
the forest industry made the switch over the last 20 years.
They just grow better!
